The International Pizza Expo is coming! It’s Almost Time!
Are you registered for the International Pizza Expo and ready to visit Las Vegas? Kanekt 365 is. We have our booth (1663), travel arrangements, and show specials prepared to share with the pizza industry. This blog will help you structure your days, so you accomplish everything in an organized manner. Visiting an expo is tiring and can be overwhelming without a plan. So follow the Kanekt 365 plan to make the most of your week.
Since we’ve been there multiple times, we put together this checklist for getting the most from your expo experience. We look forward to seeing you there!
Plan your visit to the International Pizza Expo before you go.
Take a look at the exhibitor list and map to plan your route. Create an itinerary, so you know exactly what booth numbers to visit and which seminars you want to attend. Then, map out the days with an hour-by-hour plan of action. Have a copy of the floor plan handy, so you can quickly locate vendors or exhibitors that catch your eye.
Don’t forget to schedule time to watch the competitions to see who stretches their pizza dough the largest, folds boxes the fastest, and more. It’s so much fun to watch.
Prepare questions you might have for each vendor in advance.
Have a few questions prepared for each booth you visit so that you don’t waste time making small talk. Ask about the types of products or services they offer and what sets them apart from their competitors. Maximize your time on the expo floor to keep track of booth visits and follow up with exhibitors directly. Be sure to use the badge scanner to capture notes and contact information and set reminders to follow up with vendors when you get home. This way, you won’t forget who you talked to or what questions you had. After the expo is over, take some time to review all the contacts you made and jot down any follow-up items. Store your notes and reminders so you’re organized and prepared for future conversations. With a few taps, you can access all the contact data you collected during your trip.
Make a list of the exhibitors and products you want to see.
Decide which products or services you want to learn more about. Then quickly connect with vendors and continue the conversation. The International Pizza Expo is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the industry, meet new contacts, and discover innovative products and services. As you visit new vendors, note those services and products you had not considered but might want to learn more about after the expo.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
It sounds silly, but wearing comfortable shoes and clothing allows you to move around the expo floor quickly. Also, don’t forget to bring a laptop or tablet, as some vendors may require information you can easily access online. Finally, make sure to carry your business cards and other essential documents with you at all times. With these tips in mind, you’ll be ready to make the most of your time at the International Pizza Expo and meet the most people without getting tired.
Bring a backpack or bag to the International Pizza Expo to carry all your goodies
You will collect lots of goodies and information at the International Pizza Expo, so bring a backpack or bag. This will allow you to keep everything organized and in one place. It’s also a good idea to bring a notebook and pen or app so you can jot down important notes from any seminars or presentations you attend.
If you forget your bag be sure to visit the Kanekt 365 booth at 1663. We ordered bags so that you can get one from us right at the beginning! As always, Kanekt 365 knows how to make things efficient 🙂
Take notes and pictures during your visit
Your brain can only remember so much information, so take notes or pictures during your visit. This will help you recall important facts and figures that you may need later on. Also, if all the data you collect is stored and organized in one place, you can find it easily when you get back home. You can also take pictures with your phone to save time; store them in an album for easy access later.
Be sure to take advantage of show specials
Show specials are often only available on the days of the expo. If you are sure you want to purchase a product or service, take advantage of the show specials while in Las Vegas. Prepare for the show by visiting exhibitors’ online portals so you can see their show specials and compare them to the regular pricing on their websites. You can save a significant amount of money by making quick (but wise) decisions.
After you get home from the International Pizza Expo, make sure you follow up
Once you get home from the International Pizza Expo, follow up with any vendors you met. Review your notes and contact information to send emails and set phone calls right away before you get busy again. Following up with the people you meet is a great way to build relationships and ensure that you have the most organized notes.
Make sure to use all the tools available to you. One of the biggest problems with expos is there is so much information collected that much of it is not acted upon. Don’t let that happen to you. This is a once-a-year experience for the pizza industry. Don’t miss anything!
Happy expo-ing, and we’ll see you soon at booth 1663!
